Who are we?
We are a multicultural women's choir from Tilburg. We are open to women of all ages and from all corners of the world. The women who sing with the Kleurrijke Mama's have different nationalities, they come from all neighborhoods of Tilburg, but also from surrounding municipalities. Our voices carry further and further.
In our choir there are women who have difficulty learning, but also women who are highly educated. It doesn't matter, life teaches us all a lesson. And we come together to share our wisdom with each other.
Singing experience is not necessary at all. Commitment and enthusiasm are! Everyone has her own sound color and all those different shades together create the True Colours of the Kleurrijke Mama's.

What do we sing?
We are an open group, everyone can join at any time. Our door and our heart are always open to you. We are curious about you. With us you can feel safe and secure.
We come together every week, of course to sing, but also to meet each other. We talk with each other about all kinds of themes and that's how we come up with ideas for new song lyrics. Astrid Seriese works with those texts and creates compositions from them.
Where do you come from?
A theme we have explored in our songs, where we share stories about our backgrounds and origins.
Why did you come here?
We sing about the reasons why women came to the Netherlands and their stories of migration and new beginnings.
What is your dream?
Songs about hope, ambitions and dreams for the future. Among others, the songs 'Song for Meltem' and 'Foundation' emerged from this.

The team
Astrid Seriese
Astrid works with the texts and creates compositions from them. It's always a magical moment when a new song is born!
Louise Donker
Louise teaches the songs to the choir and leads the rehearsals and performances. She is the artistic leader of Kleurrijke Mama's Tilburg.
Berndine de Wolff
Berndine accompanies the choir on accordion or piano during rehearsals and performances.

Our History
The Beginning
Kleurrijke Mama's Tilburg was founded with the vision of bringing together women from different cultural backgrounds through music. The first rehearsals took place with a small group of enthusiastic women.
First Performances
We gave our first public performances, sharing our stories and songs with the community. The choir grew as more women discovered the joy of singing together.
Digital Connection
During challenging times, we found new ways to stay connected through online rehearsals and virtual performances, proving that music brings us together even when we're apart.
The Opera Project
A special milestone: we performed our songs in an opera setting, creating a unique experience that combined our multicultural stories with classical music traditions.
New Compositions
We released new songs including "Song for Meltem" and "Foundation", compositions that reflect our journey and the stories of our members.
CD Release
We proudly released our first CD, a collection of our most beautiful songs that capture the essence of the Kleurrijke Mama's and our shared stories.
Growing Community
Today, we continue to grow and welcome new members. Our choir represents over 15 different cultures, and we're excited about the future and the new stories we'll share.
